Stéphane Kerecki

As bass player Stéphane Kerecki reaches the big 50, his quiet determination to hone his art and make music his top priority is paying off handsomely. His bass sound -one of the most beautiful on the scene today -and his musicality have made him a much sought- after accompanist, and he has performed with the likes of Jacky Terrason, Yaron Herman, Bojan Z, Jacques Schwartz-Bart and Daniel Humair. But it’s as a leader and a composer that he’s really made his mark in recent years, bringing serenity, integrity and gentleness to the modern jazz scene.
